CWL Bonus Awards

At the end of the Clan War League week, the game awards each team 2 bonus awards +1 additional bonus for each round won.

While the game does list players in descending order based on their acquired stars, this is not truly a fair way to award bonuses for many reasons, such as...

• 1. It doesn't account for mismatches between teams
• 2. As a player progresses in TH level, it gets harder and harder to 3 star an opponent
• 3. It doesn't account for rushed bases on either team. If we have a rushed player who obtains 3 stars and then loses 3 stars in defense while another of our players earns 2 stars but only gives up 1 star, then who is the better player?
• What if we ask a team member to hit up and 2 star an opponent so a higher can drop and earn 3 stars giving us 5 when we might get 4 if we used mirrors only?

Many clans award bonuses based on player merit, such as most donations, or maybe on Clan Capital donations, or some other objective data.

But bonuses are earned only by playing in the Clan War League, and not everyone can do that. For that reason, I feel that awarding bonuses randomly is the most fair method.

To be eligible in this clan, you must participate in weekly Clan Capital attacks, and monthly Clan Games. Also since your team is depending on you in CWL, you must hit every round you are assigned. Miss a round you are assigned and you are not eligible for the bonus drawing. We have lost CWLs before based on just 1 star after a week of attacks and the whole team dropped to a lower league level.

To award bonuses randomly I use the website "Wheelofnames.com" It is a random spinner. Everytime a person is selected it then removes that person from the list. This way the awards are determined without favoritism with everyone having the same chance. For those who have multiple accounts, while they are included on the spinner, they are awarded just 1 bonus to go to whichever account they choose. This way bonus awards reach the maximum number of people. When a player is totally maxed, they are no longer eligible for bonus awards.
